If you are a private employer with 100 or more employees or a Federal Contractor with at least 50 employees and contracts of at least $50,000, you are required to file an annual EEO-1 form on or before September 30th. This "Employer Information Report" is used by the EEOC to track your compliance with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs(OFCCP) also uses this form to track Federal Contractor compliance with Executive Order No. 11246 for Affirmative Action Programs. Companies are encouraged to file this report online. You will find more information and a link to the EEO-1 Survey Filing page on the EEOC website or in the suggested Links of Benchmark Outsourcing Group's site. Please note that race and ethnic categories as well as job group categories were changed on the 2007 EEO-1 and these categories, although parallel to the OFCCP catetories in the past, have NOT yet been adopted by the OFCCP for compliance purposes. However, the OFCCP has stated that they will not penalize employers who wish to use these categories until a decision is made.
